Copyediting & Line Editing
Every manuscript can use a good copyedit before it is turned loose into the world. During this type of edit I check for issues with:

A Line Edit as a process is more in-depth than a copyedit and focuses on improving the flow, tone, and style of the writing, as well as addressing issues with sentence structure and word choice. While both types of editing are important, line editing is typically more time-consuming and requires a higher level of expertise. I can offer you that expertise.

Manuscript Critique
​​​Beta Reads
I love doing beta reads for authors! This is such a great, cost-effective tool for independent authors wanting a preliminary review on a manuscript. Generally I provide feedback on the overall story, characters, and pacing. Though not as detailed as a full manuscript critique, some of the big questions will be answered: Is your story entertaining and engaging? Does your hook actually hook? Are your characters interesting, relatable, and/or likable? Does the plot and pace keep a reader reading?

Full Manuscript Critique
I have been doing full-manuscript critiques for many years and provide in-depth analysis of the story. Generally I'll focus on character development, plot, pacing, dialogue, writing style, and overall impressions. This type of feedback is invaluable to writers looking to improve their manuscript and their craft.
